It's the same phone agent an operator gets, set up for a made-up taxi firm. It quotes from a sample price list and books you a test job, and no car ever turns up.
Then ring your own line at the same time of night and see who answers.

The demo line tells you it's an automated booking assistant and that the call is recorded.
What to try on the call
- Book a job for a set time. Say where from, where to and when, like "the airport, tomorrow at half five". It'll quote a fixed price from the sample list and book it.
- Ring back and change it. Move the time or change the pickup.
- Ring back again and cancel it.
- Ring from the same phone again. It'll recognise the number and greet you by name.
- Ask for an extra, such as booking the return or meet and greet.
- Ask for something it shouldn't handle, like a complaint or lost property. It'll pass it to the office with the transcript.
What it won't do on the demo line
- The phone agent never takes card details over the phone, on the demo line or anywhere else.
- No car is sent, because it's a demo line.
How we run the demo line
- It tells you at the start that it's an automated demo line and that the call is recorded.
- We keep demo recordings and transcripts for [RECORDING DAYS] days, then delete them.
- It never takes real jobs and it never rings anyone. It only answers when you ring it.
You can use a made-up name and address if you'd rather.
